ABOUT HERG

The Higher Education Research Group was established in 2019 at the Middle East Technical University (METU), builds upon the research projects and practices of faculty members and graduate students of the Department of Educational Sciences at METU in higher education. HERG brings talents to guide advanced research to accomplish societal impact by addressing problems in higher education. HERG collaborates with leading scholars and researchers from around the world and conduct interdisciplinary research as well.

The key goals of HERG include:

• increasing and supporting collaborative and interdisciplinary research activities at local and global levels in higher education;

• producing knowledge to guide higher education policy, management and leadership;

• addressing local and global problems of education by conducting quality, cutting-edge international research;

• accomplishing societal impact by addressing higher education related problems;

• organizing intellectually stimulating events for internal and external researchers;

• building strategic partnerships and relationships with institutions and communities on local and global levels in order to foster collaborative solutions to the current problems of higher education
